{ black + white vintage }

Wednesday, May 16th, 2012

Our graphic designer has been working on a black & white seating chart for a customer. She’s having her wedding in a loft: ceremony on the terrace, dinner in the loft. She’s incorporating vintage & modern. Shabby chic with a touch of clean…love it!

One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish

Saturday, July 10th, 2010

We’ve been having lots of fun designing this custom seating chart - as well as the rest of the wedding day printing (menus, table numbers, place cards) - SO PRETTY! It all beautifully tied in their invitations, and their colour palette of purple, black & oyster.

The cake was accessorized with an elegant monogram cake topper which matched the font on the invitations and aisle runner.

Everything was amazing!

Patterned Favor Boxes & Personalized Labels

Wednesday, October 14th, 2009

We have been working hard behind the scenes on some brand new additions to My Stylish Wedding, and today we’re happy to introduce the first in our line of adorable patterned favor boxes!

With 2 box styles, and 3 patterns to choose from, these pretty little favors will add style and color to any wedding or special event.

You can find these boxes in the “favor boxes” category on www.mystylishwedding.com. Here’s a sample of what we’ve added:

We have also added new favor labels available in two shapes, round and square, with 3 monogrammed layouts to choose from. These are the perfect addition to any of our favor boxes and the text colors are chosen to match the colors of our patterned and plain boxes.

Check out all of our latest additions here!

Candy Buffet Anyone?

Friday, September 11th, 2009

Candy buffets have been all the rage this year, rather than going with traditional favours placed at each guests setting.  If you’re thinking of having one at your wedding we have THE CUTEST glassine lined bags to hold the loot!  They come in 8 different colours so you can mix and match them to coordinate with your wedding colours.  By choosing a contrasting design and print colours you can create a truly custom favour bag.  glassine-bags

Happy Earth Day!

Wednesday, April 22nd, 2009

It doesn’t have to be Earth Day for us to think about making less of an impact on our environment.  Here are some of the tips that will help make your wedding green:

1) Use green invitations.  Believe me the quality of recycled paper has come a long way from the 80’s.  This elegant invite gives you the chance to change the world one simple choice at a time.  The paper is made with 100% post-consumer fibers and created without the use of chlorine compounds.  The manufacturer uses a significant amount of renewable energy resources and responsible forest management practices.  http://www.mystylishwedding.com/store/invitations-c-1/go-green-green-seal-certified-recycled-invitation-p-813

2) Banish disposable water bottles!  Hand out these gorgeous re-usable water bottles as favours instead.  These sturdy metal bottles can be personalized any way you like and will help encourage your guest to kick the plastic habit as well!  These were a good example of a customer asking us for something specific that we didn’t have on our site but we sourced them!  Send us an email if you would like us to do the same for you.

3) Use a beautiful seating chart instead of placecards.  We love seating charts because they don’t waste all that cardstock and are made using post-consumer material.  The best part is that they are 100% customizable.  Our brides love them so much that they often hang them in their home after the wedding. http://www.mystylishwedding.com/store/wedding-day-printing-c-30/seating-charts-p-650

4) We love, love, LOVE these organic favour boxes.  Need I say more? http://www.mystylishwedding.com/store/favor-boxes-stickers-tags-c-21/organic-green-2-piece-woven-favor-boxes-p-105

A Token of Love

Monday, April 6th, 2009

Whether used for décor or a favor for your guests, these wish20tokens perfectly reflect your special day.

I absolutely love the idea of using them as a way to incorporate your guests into your ceremony. Instead of a unity candle, have a glass vase on the signing table. Once you and your groom have put in your tokens, have the guests add their token to represent their love and support in being there for you on your special day.  It will also keep them occupied before the ceremony begins! Have a token on each seat with a little card explaining what the token is, and what it represents to the couple. It then becomes a stylish and sentimental piece from your wedding day.

Or use it vice versa. As a favor, the token can represent your appreciation to your guests in celebrating this joyous occasion with you and your groom! You can dress it up in a little favor box, or use it as a décor piece during the reception.

Whatever you decide to do with these wish20tokens, it’s a sure fire way to keep that lovin’ feeling throughout the night!

Love those julep cups!!!!!

Friday, January 9th, 2009

We absolutely LOVE these silver plated julep cups from the Mindy Weiss collection.  Traditionally used to serve the Southern mint julep cocktail, you can fill them with flowers and either place them at each guests setting or cluster them at the center of the table to make a striking centerpiece.

They look beautiful even without flowers.  I was so excited when they arrived that I bought two for my desk.  I use the large cup as a pencil holder and the small cup for my paper clips.
